“Although it took me an age to finish as I managed to lose my first copy I could not put this book down!
At times I was uncertain where the lines of fact or fiction crossed since Abramczyk meshed the two so beautifully together. After reading I feel as if I’ve travelled to these far-off places which were previously unknown to me. The writing is exquisite and the story full of suspense.
I love how Abramczyk brings his characters to life; for the most part complicated and vibrant souls. Real people…perhaps too real?
I cannot recommend the book more highly. Please do yourself a favour read it!”
Page Burner!
“Just finished Samasara-what a page burner! Hard to put down, and when you finally do, disengaging is near impossible. I was immediately seduced by Jupiter’s witty introspection and constant ability to find himself even deeper in trouble. The characters’ complex relationships throughout their adrenaline pumping adventure are tangible, creating a world that is easy to lose yourself in. Throughout the entire experience, Abramczyk consistently educates the reader to all aspects of the region in a discreet and captivating manner. Typically while traveling, I enjoy passing good reads on to fellow adventurers to share the wealth, however I’m finding it especially difficult to part ways with Samsara.”
Highly Entertaining
“A highly entertaining story mixed with historical facts about Tibet unknown to most people. The reader gains intimate access to the underground crowd of Kathmandu which will make you want to travel there and feel it for yourself! After a volitale beginning, Abramczyk takes you on a long journey deep into the Himalayas with characters that are at times heroes and at others downright pricks. Samsara is very likely to broaden your horizons and make you reflect on your life choices and limits.”
Thoroughly Enjoyable!
“This book was a great read and thoroughly enjoyable. If you enjoy a good adventure with plenty of drama then I can definitely recommend. The author makes the reading easy yet surprising, with a great knowledge of the goings-on in Nepal which helps make the story and the characters seem life-like and real. Having never been to Nepal, I find myself enthusiastic now to travel out there to be able to relate to the experiences from the book, both geographical and cultural (especially where Tibet is involved). It also gave me an insight into the history of the country without any heavy studious effort – phew! As far as the plot is concerned, I found a whole array of emotions starting from hatred, pity and anger at the beginning, to curiosity, relief and love at the end. I wish Jupiter were real.. I could punch him and hug him. Will there be a follow up and when? Enjoy!”
Dark & Delicious
“One of the best travel fictions and one of the bests in my favorite genre, dark humor. With Samsara Abramczyk
leaves Jack Kerouac, Chuck Palahniuk, Shantaram and Seven years in Tibet all far behind. If super cool metaphors and vivid narration with a grippy and trippy plot is your style go for Samsara. If you’re a traveler at heart,
I’ll tell you how to enjoy a crazy, sexy, wild and mysterious journey-sit somewhere in a cozy corner…and pick up and read Samsara!”
